Peer Review Process

■ Peer Review Process

SEROJA: Journal of Scientific Research and Innovation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous, fair, objective, and transparent peer review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo a Double-Blind Peer Review, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.

▼ The peer review process consists of the following stages:

a. Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission, the Editorial Board conducts an initial screening to evaluate whether the manuscript: (1) Falls within the journal’s focus and scope; (2) Meets the journal’s formatting and submission requirements; (3) Demonstrates sufficient academic quality and originality; and (4) Complies with ethical publication standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected without external review.

b. Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software, including Turnitin, Grammarly Plagiarism Checker, and other supporting tools. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the discretion of the editorial board.

c. Assignment to Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject matter of the manuscript. The review process follows a double-blind system to ensure impartiality and objectivity.

d. Peer Review Evaluation (Criteria): Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on: Originality and novelty • Relevance to the focus and scope • Significance and contribution to knowledge • Theoretical and conceptual framework • Research methodology • Data analysis and interpretation • Clarity and organization • Quality of references • Validity of conclusions. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive comments to improve the manuscript.

e. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ reports, the editor may make one of the following decisions:
• 1) Accept Submission
• 2) Minor Revisions Required
• 3) Major Revisions Required
• 4) Resubmit for Review
• 5) Reject Submission
The editor reserves the right to make the final decision regarding publication.

f. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments and editorial recommendations. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a response letter explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed. Where necessary, revised manuscripts may be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation.

g. Final Decision and Production
Once a manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and final approval before publication.

h. Publication
Accepted articles are published in the scheduled issue of the journal and made freely available through the journal’s open-access platform. The average review and publication process may take approximately 4–12 weeks, depending on the quality of the manuscript, the revision process, and reviewer availability.

* The editorial team is committed to ensuring a professional, timely, and ethical review process that upholds the quality and integrity of scientific publication.
