Retraction & Correction

■ Retraction & Correction

SEROJA: Journal of Scientific Research and Innovation is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal follows the principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling corrections, retractions, and ethical concerns.

▼ a. Corrections

A correction may be issued when a published article contains minor errors that do not significantly affect the validity, reliability, or conclusions of the research. Corrections will be published promptly and linked to the original article.

Examples include:
• (1) Typographical errors.
• (2) Author affiliation corrections.
• (3) Minor data presentation errors.
• (4) Metadata inaccuracies.

⚠️ b. Retractions

An article may be retracted if there is clear evidence of: Plagiarism • Duplicate publication • Data fabrication or falsification • Unethical research practices • Serious errors that invalidate the findings or conclusions • Copyright infringement • Undisclosed conflicts of interest that compromise the integrity of the publication.

Retraction notices will clearly identify the reason for retraction and will remain permanently available online. The original article will remain accessible for scholarly record purposes but will be clearly marked as retracted.

▼ c. Expression of Concern

The editorial board may issue an Expression of Concern when credible evidence suggests potential misconduct or significant problems in a published article, but a full investigation has not yet been completed.

▼ d. Article Removal

Article removal will only occur in exceptional circumstances, such as legal requirements, court orders, defamation, privacy violations, or other situations that pose serious legal or ethical risks.

e. Editorial Responsibility:
The Editor-in-Chief has the authority to initiate investigations and make final decisions regarding corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, and article removals based on editorial policies and ethical standards.
