Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic financial management in enhancing business sustainability among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method, drawing upon various academic sources, including books, national and international journal articles, research reports, and other scholarly publications related to Islamic financial management and MSME sustainability. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques through the processes of identification, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of previous research findings. The results indicate that Islamic financial management significantly contributes to business sustainability through the implementation of principles such as trustworthiness (amanah), justice, transparency, accountability, and the avoidance of riba (interest), gharar (uncertainty), and maysir (gambling). These principles promote more effective financial management, efficient resource utilization, stronger cash flow stability, and increased stakeholder trust. Furthermore, Islamic financial management enhances business resilience and competitiveness, enabling MSMEs to adapt to dynamic business environments. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including low levels of Islamic financial literacy, limited access to Islamic financing, inadequate financial record-keeping systems, and insufficient utilization of digital technology. Therefore, strengthening strategies are needed through improving Islamic financial literacy, promoting digital transformation, expanding access to Islamic financial services, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to support the sustainability of MSMEs
