KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA TPQ DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN MOTIVASI SISWA MEMBACA AL-QUR’AN DI TPQ H. ABDURRAHMAN MI MA’ARIF KLIWONAN WONOSOBO

Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership of the head of the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) in developing students' motivation to read the Qur'an at TPQ H. Abdurrahman MI Ma'arif Kliwonan Wonosobo. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects include the head of TPQ, ustadz/ustadzah, students, and guardians of students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews. The results show that the head of TPQ applies a democratic leadership style that is participatory, communicative, and flexible. This leadership plays an effective role in creating a conducive learning environment and increasing students' motivation to learn. The strategies implemented include creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, providing role models, awards (rewards), variations in learning activities, an individual approach, improving the quality of teaching staff, and collaboration with parents. In addition, instilling spiritual values is also an important factor in building students' intrinsic motivation. The success of this strategy is supported by the enthusiasm of the teaching staff, parental support, and the positive influence of peers. Inhibiting factors include the limited number of teaching staff, limited learning time, and the negative influence of the social environment. Therefore, effective leadership from the TPQ principal and synergy between various parties are key to increasing students' motivation to read the Quran
