PERAN KOLABORASI GURU PAI DAN PUSTAKAWAN DALAM MENUMBUHKAN LITERASI RELIGIUS SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 2 SELOMERTO, WONOSOBO

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of collaboration between Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers and librarians in developing students’ religious literacy at SMP Negeri 2 Selomerto, to analyze its implementation, and to identify supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and its impact on students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, PAI teachers, librarians, and relevant documents. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, while data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results show that the collaboration between PAI teachers and librarians is carried out through the provision of religious reading materials, the use of the library as a learning resource center, religious literacy programs, Qur’an reading habituation, book discussions, Islamic book reviews, religious literacy competitions, and strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5). The implementation of this collaboration takes place through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages involving various school stakeholders. This collaboration is supported by the principal’s commitment, adequate library collections, good coordination, and students’ enthusiasm, although several challenges still exist, such as limited budget, restricted learning time, uneven reading interest, and less optimal facilities and infrastructure. Overall, this collaboration plays an important role in increasing reading interest, expanding Islamic knowledge, shaping religious character, and building a religious literacy culture in the school.
